The Christmas Peace will be declared on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Old Town Hall Square in Porvoo.
Porvoo and Suomenkylä Brass Band will perform Christmas music starting at 3:30 PM.
The Mayor of Porvoo, Mr. Jani Pitkäniemi will proclaim the Christmas Peace.
The brass band will provide the music, beginning with Silent Night, Holy Night and concluding with From Heaven Above to Earth I Come.
The Runebergskören BSB (Runeberg Choir) will perform two songs:
• Det är en ros utsprungen (Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, M. Praetorius, T. Knös)
• Maa on niin kaunis (The Earth is So Beautiful, S. Ingemann, H. Haahti)
The event will last approximately 15–20 minutes.
