Peipon koulu

The construction project of Peipon koulu is proceeding and the new facilities will be completed towards the end of 2027. Teaching will remain in the current building until the new school is completed.

There are about 300 pupils at Peipon koulu. The school offers basic education in grades 1–6. In addition, the school offers preparatory education to pupils with immigrant backgrounds.
The school is multicultural and diverse, which is seen as a great asset. Internationality and equality are part of our daily lives.

Our school aims to provide pupils with good basic knowledge and study skills. We educate children to take other people into account and to respect each other by putting effort in preventive work against school bullying. Pupils are guided to active involvement through the activities organised by the pupil council and peer support programme, as well as other responsibilities. At our school, pupils can have influence both on everyday life and future development.

In autumn 2026, a new bilingual English–Finnish education group from 1st grade will start at Peipon koulu. There is an application process for this and the decisions on admissions are made based on an entrance examination. In addition, our school offers Swedish and German as an optional A2 language.
