The exhibition ”War opens eyes”

  • 06.11.2025
  • 17:00 - 19:00

    • ”War Opens Eyes” is a personal and emotional exhibition by Ukrainian artist Tetiana Shapovalova (Nyata).
    • The works are based on her wartime diary, written while she and her family were hiding in a shelter in Kharkiv during the first days of the 2022 invasion. These pages — filled with fear, hope, and resilience — became the heart of this exhibition.
    • Each wool painting and sculpture tells a true story from those days. Through soft textures and fragile forms, Nyata contrasts the cruelty of war with the warmth of human compassion. Her art invites visitors to step into February 2022 — to feel, to remember, and to see through the eyes of someone who lived it.
    • It is a reflection on what remains when everything else falls apart — humanity, empathy, and the ability to see light in darkness.
