Widowed Ada Harris lives in 1950s London, working as a cleaner. One day she falls in love with a Dior dress presented by a client and, as a sign from her late husband, Ada receives a large sum of money for the loss of her husband Eddie in the war, as she should have received a war widow’s pension as a result.
Mrs Harris takes a departure from her previous lifestyle and sets her sights on Dior’s dress and leaves for Paris. The film is the story of a brave woman who pursues her unique dream, regardless of the opinions of others. The film is based on Paul Gallicon’s novel Mrs. ’Arris Goes to Paris, published in 1957.
The film was nominated at the Oscars for Best Costume Design.

”The Aristocats” is a 1970 Disney animated film that tells the story of an unwittingly abandoned house cat named Duchesse and her three litters. Madame Adelaide, a sophisticated old lady living in Paris, leaves her fortune to her cats, but Edgar, a jealous servant, decides to get rid of the cats and inherit the fortune for himself. Edgar kidnaps the cats and leaves them in the countryside, but on the way they meet a charming street cat, Thomas O’Malley, who helps them return home. Together they devise a rescue plan and survive an adventure that teaches them the importance of friendship and family.
