Art Hall Concerts: Pink Twins & Kadi Vija

The Art Hall Concerts series receives an addition as Pink Twins, who are exhibiting in the Porvoo Art Halls media space Fikka, perform together with jazz singer and sound artist Kadi Vija at Porvoo Art Hall on Thursday 15 May at 18:15. Admission to the concert is free.

Pink Twins is an artist duo from Helsinki, formed by brothers Juha (b. 1978) and Vesa (b. 1974) Vehviläinen. In their works, they combine electronic music, visual and video art, and digital techniques. Their large, psychedelic video installations and dazzling live performances have captivated art galleries and music festivals around the world. Pink Twins’ electronic music draws influences from noise, dub, and psychedelia. The duo was nominated for the Ars Fennica Prize in 2015, and their work Infinity (2017) is part of Kiasma’s permanent collection of online art.

Kadi Vija (b. 1985) is a gifted young vocalist in the spheres of jazz and improvised music. Her unique approach to singing and expressing with her voice bases on instrumental jazz, unrestrained association and abstract art. She weaves stories by means of melodies, ideas and tones of voice.
