Nature wraps us gently in the shades of silence – in misty moments where time seems to stand still. Laura Elo’s photography exhibition In the Shades of Silence invites the viewer to step into a landscape of stillness, space and sensitivity.
Elo is known for her visual expression that blends inner emotion with the quiet beauty of nature. The works invite you to pause – to travel through mist, the light of the midnight sun, and timeless moments captured across the world. Each photograph is like a soulful short film – a silent dialogue between the viewer and the surrounding world. Some of the works are framed in old art frames, creating a sense of layered time where history and future meet.
Laura Elo is a Helsinki-based photographer and visual artist. She studied at the New York Film Academy and works as a photographer, educator, and spatial designer under her company See and Feel. Her visual work has been featured in exhibitions, books and on television.
Exhibition open 2–30 June 2025 at Galleria Maari. (Closed 20-21.6) Free entry.
