Welcome to an unforgettable art experience in the heart of Porvoo – one of Finland’s most beautiful and historic towns. In collaboration with PorvooCity, Visit Finland, and Porvoo Tourism, AKAN Folk Akademi invites you to join guided outdoor landscape painting sessions, where creativity meets community.
Paint the charm of Porvoo’s riverside, wooden houses, and cobblestone streets alongside local artists from diverse backgrounds. All sessions are held in English, and no previous art experience is needed. This is about expression, joy, and connecting with art, people, and the beauty of Porvoo.
What’s included:
– Guided painting session outdoors (weather permitting)
– All art materials provided
– Delicious lunch by AKAN (on daytime sessions)
– Warm, welcoming atmosphere
– Optional: Bring your own wine or drinks
– Opportunity to donate one artwork for a group exhibition during Konstrundan (returned by end of September)
2025 Session Dates:
May: 10.5, 16–17.5, 23–24.5
June: 6–8.6, 27–29.6
August: 1–2.8, 8–9.8, 16–17.8
(July break – no sessions)
Times:
Fridays: 17:00–20:00 (with light food)
Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00–16:00 (with lunch)
