
PALEFACE
Paleface (Karri Miettinen) is one of Finland’s most significant and internationally recognized rap artists, as well as a pioneer of the Finnish hip-hop scene. His debut album The Pale Ontologist (2001) is considered a cornerstone of Finnish hip-hop and also attracted attention abroad. Hit singles like ”Back to Square One” and ”The Ultimate Jedi Mind Trick – Episode IV” earned him fans across genre boundaries.
His second album, Quarter Past (2003), cemented his place at the forefront of Finland’s music scene. His fourth album, Helsinki–Shangri-La, released in 2010, was the first where he rapped in Finnish. Alongside the title track, songs like Talonomistaja and Syntyny rellestää became well-known. The album received five- and four-star reviews, won three Emma Awards, and was nominated for the Nordic Music Prize.
His latest album, Autofiktio, was released in March 2023.
Paleface’s musical versatility and socially conscious lyrics have earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Grand Cultural Prize from the Finnish Cultural Foundation in 2016. A multifaceted artist, he has also written spoken word poetry, operas, and musicals, and worked as an author, translator, and DJ.
His broad musical knowledge and masterful use of language make him a unique figure in the Finnish music landscape. In spring 2024, Paleface participated in the TV show Tähdet, tähdet, and his autobiography was published in fall 2024.
RAAKASAGA
Raakasaga is a Finnish artist who creates music rich in depth and emotion. Her works feature an experimental tone, blending Finnish-language lyrics with a deeply emotive soundscape.
Raakasaga’s music draws influences from various genres such as roots, indie, folk, hip-hop, and electronic music, but it is always characterized by a unique and personal approach.
Her songs often explore both the big and small questions of life, including identity, emotions, societal themes, and personal experiences.
She has the ability to create musical spaces that draw listeners deep into her worldview and evoke strong emotions. Unafraid to experiment with new sounds and challenge traditional musical boundaries, Raakasaga’s work remains versatile and captivating.

The concerts will take place in a small wooded area next to the riverbank, beside Kulttuurilaiva. The area is not a licensed serving area, so guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking area.
The café kiosk will offer tea, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and toasted sandwiches. Kulttuurilaiva’s café will be open until 11:00 PM.
