Bookable spaces
You can reserve a group space or an exhibition space at the library. The spaces are in the main library.
Main Library meeting and group facilities
The main library has three spaces of different sizes that associations and groups can reserve. Use is free for non-commercial operators.
You can book a group space either by calling 019 520 2418 or by emailing to paakirjasto@porvoo.fi. Booking requests by email are answered with a delay.
Description of the spaces:
Group space for 24 people
On the first floor of the main library next to the children’s section.
Can be booked Mon–Thu 14.00–19.00, Fri 14.00–17.00 and Sat 10.00–15.00.

Group space for 12 people
On the ground floor of the main library next to the non-fiction section.

Group space for 6 people
On the ground floor of the main library next to the non-fiction section.

Exhibition spaces
The main library has two exhibition spaces which can be booked free of charge. For more information and reservations, please contact Sanni Saarinen: sanni.saarinen@porvoo.fi.
The facilities are primarily intended for local private persons, associations or other non-profit organizations. The exhibition time is 4 weeks.
The exhibitor is responsible for setting up and unloading the exhibition itself, but they can borrow equipment from the library if necessary. Unfortunately, the library is unable to monitor the exhibitions, so the exhibitor is responsible for the exhibition material.
Introduce the content of your exhibition when booking. Send information about your exhibition to the library at least one week before the exhibition begins. The library informs local media about the exhibition.
Downstairs exhibition space
The space has a steel grid with dimensions of 1.8 m x 8 m. Three covered displays (1 m x 1 m, interior height 24 cm) and tabletops are also available.
Art Bridge
The exhibition space upstairs is 14 m long. The works are hung on a wire of adjustable height.
Glass display case
The large hall of the main library has a glass display case that individuals and groups can reserve. The case has four levels on which exhibits can be put: three glass shelves and the bottom of the case. If you want, you can decorate the case with your own supplies, but it is also suitable for exhibition use as-is.
The display can be locked, and use is free of charge.
Dimensions:
Height 170 cm, shelf size 140 x 45 cm. Shelf spacing (from the bottom up): about 33 cm, 45 cm, 19 cm and 35 cm.
