Every day has its moments of joy. For instance, when children thank you for the food and come to the kitchen door to tell us whatever is on their mind.
I am the Service Coordinator for Porvoo Food and Cleaning Services at the daycare Mäntykummun päiväkoti. I handle the daycare centre’s food from the moment the cold food arrives from the central kitchen. I take care of heating the meals, and I prepare the children’s breakfast and snacks. Dishwashing and cleaning are also part of my work, as well as making various orders.

We service managers do a very important job. This work may not always be all that visible when everything goes as it should. I would also like to see a greater appreciation for the professionals in our field.
