Arcus LGBTIQ+ youth work
Arcus LGBTIQ+ youth work offers a wide range of activities for young people from sexual and gender minorities and those who are interested in or still thinking about LGBTQ issues. Arcus LGBTIQ+ youth work is provided by the City of Porvoo Youth Services.
Hello! Are you a member of a sexual and/or gender minority, do you have any concerns around this topic or are you interested in LGBTQ+ issues in general? Then Arcus LGBTIQ+ youth work is for you!
We provide a variety of activities: meetings, hang-outs, camps, movie nights and of course Pride activities! There are always two safe adults present and they are familiar with the subject. You can talk with them about anything. Below you will find the rules for safer spaces (which we hope everyone involved will respect) and future meeting times. Come along and join us!
Safer space rules
- Don’t assume. Be open and listen.
- Be respectful. Don’t question someone else’s experience.
- Give space. Make sure that everyone is heard and involved in discussions.
- Make sure you and others are comfortable. If you need help with a problem, ask an instructor.
Arcus youth evenings from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Youth Workshops
Arcus youth evenings for all young LGBTQ+ people or those interested in LGBTQ+ issues. The youth evenings are intended for young people aged 13–17. There are always two adults present. Participants can play games, do things alone and together or just hang out during the evenings. You are welcome as you are!

Arcus youth evenings has moved to the youth workshops! The new address is Mannerheiminkatu 20 i, next to the Zentran youth centre.
16+ Arcus evenings, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Youth Workshops
As the name suggests, 16+ evenings are for young people over the age of 16. The 16+ evenings will take place at Youth Workshops, Mannerheiminkatu 20 i. Come and hang out, chat or play some games. You are welcome as you are!
