Ideas will be collected from 2 to 22 February, and all Porvoo residents may submit ideas, but the ideas must be aimed at young people aged 13–18. Young people in particular are encouraged to participate actively in the ideation process.
Young people can submit ideas in three different ways:
After the ideation phase, experts from different sectors of the city and young people will evaluate the ideas together. Voting will take place in April, and the ideas selected in the vote will be implemented during the latter part of the year. A budget of 50,000 euros has been reserved for the 2026 participatory budgeting projects.

The new hobby page helps residents find various activities more easily. This web service is part of Porvoo’s ongoing work to promote residents’ well-being. The idea for a similar overview has appeared for three years in participatory budgeting and other feedback channels.
On the porvoo.fi/hobbies page you can search for different types of hobbies, such as sports, music, visual arts, or social hangouts. You can also filter by target groups or by language. Each hobby has a short description and a link to the provider’s page. The hobby page is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Providers can now submit activities via a submission form for one-year listing; instructions and tips are available.
