Volcano Lover

My exhibition Volcano Lover explores the cross-section of natural wonders, their cultural implications, and the Earth as an all-connecting factor. My approach emerges from synthesising subjective encounters, the surrounding world, and cultural occurrences, where I use personal experiences as an incentive to deal with larger time scales and recurring existential questions. While some natural phenomena are made accessible as sublime spectacles, they still reveal our powerlessness when experiencing them. Consequently, this project also reflects on the rising amount of self-caused environmental challenges we humans face.
