Clothes Swap Day 2025

The city of Porvoo and Uusimaa will organize a Clothes Swap Day on September 27th 2025 at Haaga-Helia’s Porvoo Campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is part of the Clean World Porvoo event.

We bring together people who appreciate good-quality, durable clothes and want to exchange them with other like-minded people. Money doesn’t change hands here, only clothes. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the sustainable use of clothes and textiles, as well as to save the environment and give clothes a new life.

The event focuses on clothes for young people and adults, and the event does not exchange children’s clothes or sports equipment.

Bring clothes that fit, are in excellent condition, for all sizes, genders and ages to the collections points and participate in the Clothes Swap Day -event in Haaga-Helia Campus on the 27th of September. Excellent condition means that the clothes are clean, ironed and free of tears, holes, stains or major defects. Only bring clothes you would be proud to give to a friend.

• Tops, shirts, blouses and jackets
• Pants, jeans and shorts
• Skirts, dresses and suits
• Belts, buckles, scarves and hats

All styles and brands are accepted as long as they are in excellent condition – so remember that items range from trendy clothes to older classics. Although we are happy to accept branded products, we cannot guarantee that everyone who brings a branded product will take home a matching piece.

The partner of the event is Goodwill Porvoo, where all leftover clothes in excellent condition will be delivered after the event.

The Porvoo Campus restaurant will be open during the event from 11 AM to 2 PM. The restaurant offers a wide selection of café items and a delicious home-style lunch for €8.60.

1. Dig out items of clothing that are in good condition and are useless to you

2. Deliver your clothes to the collection points

3. At the collection points or during the collection round, you will receive exchange vouchers for clothes, which you can use to purchase clothes during the Clothes Swap Day. There is no limit to the number of clothes you can bring to collection points, but you can get a maximum of 10 vouchers. Every visitor will receive five vouchers during the event. If you didn’t receive vouchers at the collection point, please mention it at the desk at the event – you’ll get the missing ones on-site.

• Swimming hall, Linnankoskenkatu 2–6. Open 20th–21st Sep at 10.30 AM-6 PM and 22nd–23rd Sep at 6.30 AM–9 PM
• Porvoo library, Papinkatu 20. Open 20th Sep at 9 AM–3 PM, 21st Sep at 10 AM– 1PM and 22nd–23rd Sep at 9 AM–7 PM
• Art Factory (opposite of Biorex), Läntinen Aleksanterinkatu 1. Open 20th–21st Sep at 11 AM-5 PM and 22nd-23rd Sep at 10 AM–6 PM.
• Haaga-Helia Campus, Taidetehtaantie 1. Open 22nd-23rd Sep at 7.30 AM–8 PM.
• KoMbi-house, Mannerheiminkatu 15. Open 22nd–23rd Sep at 9 AM–11 AM and noon–3 PM.
• Porvoo Info, Lundinkatu 8 A. Open 22nd–23rd Sep at 9 AM–3 PM.
• Kevätkumpu, Kantele-house, Sammontie 3. Open 22nd Sep at 2 PM–8 PM. 
• Porvoo centre, Youth center Zentra, Mannerheiminkatu 20. Open 20th Sep at 5 PM–10 PM and 22nd Sep at 2 PM–8 PM
• Gammelbacka: Youth center Kertsi, Keskusaukio. Open 22nd Sep at 1 PM–8 PM.
• Linnankosken lukio and Borgå Gymnasium (only for students) 

Unfortunately, due to the required sorting and display of clothes, we no longer accept clothes on the day of the event.
