Clothes Swap Day 2026

The city of Porvoo and Uusimaa will organize a Clothes Swap Day on May 19th 2026 at Art Factory from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is part of the Clean World Porvoo event.

We bring together people who appreciate good-quality, durable clothes and want to exchange them with other like-minded people. Money doesn’t change hands here, only clothes. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the sustainable use of clothes and textiles, as well as to save the environment and give clothes a new life.

The event focuses on clothes for young people and adults, and the event does not exchange children’s clothes or sports equipment.

Bring clothes that fit, are in excellent condition, for all sizes, genders and ages to the collections points and participate in the Clothes Swap Day -event in Art Factory Porvoo on the 19th of May. Excellent condition means that the clothes are clean, ironed and free of tears, holes, stains or major defects. Only bring clothes you would be proud to give to a friend.

Restaurant Fabriken will have products for sale during the event. They’ll be serving savory and sweet snacks, coffee, tea, and refreshments, as well as sparkling wine, Portuguese wines, and brewery products.

• Pants, jeans and shorts
• Skirts, dresses and suits
• Belts, buckles, scarves and hats

All styles and brands are accepted as long as they are in excellent condition – so remember that items range from trendy clothes to older classics. Although we are happy to accept branded products, we cannot guarantee that everyone who brings a branded product will take home a matching piece.

The partner of the event is Goodwill Porvoo, where all leftover clothes in excellent condition will be delivered after the event.

1. Dig out items of clothing that are in good condition and are useless to you

2. Deliver your clothes to the collection points

3. At the collection points or during the collection round, you will receive exchange vouchers for clothes, which you can use to purchase clothes during the Clothes Swap Day. There is no limit to the number of clothes you can bring to collection points, but you can get a maximum of 10 vouchers. Every visitor will receive five vouchers during the event. If you didn’t receive vouchers at the collection point, please mention it at the desk at the event – you’ll get the missing ones on-site.

4. Come to the Clothes Swap Day on May 19th to Art Factory to find new favorite clothes!

Deliver clothes to the collection points before the event. The list below shows the collection points and their opening hours. Choose a collection point that works for you and bring your clothes to be recycled.
