Submit the application no later than four months before the child needs an early childhood education place.
When to apply?
You can apply for early childhood education all year round. The child’s right to early childhood education begins the month the child turns nine months.
Submit the application no later than four months before the child needs an early childhood education place. If the need for early childhood education is due to unexpected employment, study or training, an early childhood education place must be applied for at least two weeks before the need. The application is valid for one year.
Moving to Porvoo?
You can also apply for an early childhood education place before moving to Porvoo. Please notice, that application must be made 4 months before early childhood education is needed. The place can be granted from the moment the child lives in Porvoo.
Apply or register
- to a municipal daycare or family daycare
- service voucher for a private kindergarten
- to the club (apply with an early childhood education application)
- pre-school education
- make an estimate of the future early childhood client fee
- make a change notification (income information, change in hour limit, family change)
- internal transfer to another place of early childhood education
