Albert Edelfeltin koulu was established about 15 years ago. It is Porvoo´s first comprehensive basic education school, where grades 1–9 study under the same roof.
At Albert Edelfeltin koulu, there is an emphasis on arts and practical subjects. In the lower secondary level, most of the elective subjects chosen by students are in these areas. In addition, the school offers Swedish language immersion education and intensive special support teaching for grades 1–9, as well as preparatory education for students with an immigrant background.
