Emilia Lehikoinen: Tidevarv
11.9-11.10.2026
Art Hall Corner

Emilia Lehikoinen (b. 2002) works in Porvoo and Helsinki, with oil painting as her primary technique. The central themes of her recent works are transience and temporality, various turning points and transitions, both in emotional life and in physical space. The exploratory perspective that often serves as a starting point in the works shifts, dissolves, and expands over the course of the work. The painting emphasizes layering and lively brushstrokes, an effort to preserve traces of different working stages while at the same time allowing the painting to layer and change.

Lehikoinen’s work has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions since 2023, most recently as part of the Generation 2026 group exhibition at Amos Rex in Helsinki. Lehikoinen will graduate as a painter from the Free Art School in spring 2027.
