Open Call for Art Exhibitions

The application period for exhibition times at Porvoo Art Hall, Gallery Vanha Kappalaisentalo, as well as in service houses and service homes for the year 2027 was open to individual artists and artist groups from 1 February to 1 March 2026. By the application deadline, approximately 320 applications were received. Applicants will be informed of the decisions by the end of June. Thank you to all applicants for the great engagement!

The exhibition space of 164 m2 is located on the second floor of the Art Factory. Also operating on the premises are art loan company Konsta, Yrjö A. Jäntti’s art collection and media art exhibition space Fikka. The exhibition period is eight weeks (including building week). Rent is not charged. The supervision of the exhibition is included. There is no sales commission for the exhibition.

Gallery Kulma is located in the upper lobby of the Art Factory outside Porvoo Art Hall. The space has three displaying surfaces. Artists can also utilize 1 m of floor space from the wall. The exhibition period is eight weeks. Rent is not charged. There is no sales commission for the exhibition.

Kappalaisentalo is located in central Old Porvoo, on the edge of Town Hall Square. The gallery covers an area of 100 m2 and is divided into four bright rooms. The exhibition period is eight weeks (including building week). Rent is not charged. The supervision of the exhibition is included. There is no sales commission for the exhibition.

Art exhibitions are arranged in 4 service houses and homes and in one service centre around Porvoo. The facilities are located in different parts of the city: Palomäki service house, Johanna-koti, Pääskypelto service home, Toukovuori service home and Omenamäki service centre. The exhibition spaces are located in the halls of the houses and the target group is elderly people living in service houses, their close friends and staff. The exhibition period is three months and the artist is paid a fee of 250 euros. Selections are made by the exhibition committee based on the applications. The committee includes representatives from service homes as well as cultural services. There is no sales commission for the exhibition.
