The vote on participatory budgeting closed before Easter. As a result of the vote, the City of Porvoo will implement 9 ideas during this year. The total cost estimate for implementing the ideas is 47 500 euros.
In the spring of 2023, Visit Porvoo organized a Christmas-themed service design project for local tourism businesses in collaboration with service designer Anu Nylund and Petri Paarnio of Santa Claus Finland. The goal was to enhance international winter and Christmas tourism in the Porvoo area through service design and product development. The project explored opportunities for product development, taking into account each company’s strengths while promoting regional collaboration.
The voting for the first round of participatory budgeting in Porvoo has concluded. Based on the voting results, Porvoo municipality is implementing 12 ideas during the rest of the year 2023. The estimation of total costs for implementation is 39 800 euros.

The Porvoo Christmas market is arranged for the third time and is a part of the eventful offerings during Christmas time.
The City of Porvoo Cultural Services are looking for artists-in-residence for the Art Factory residency. The available residency periods of 1–3 months take place between 9 January 2024 and 6 January 2025. The residency consists of a work space and living space. The rent is EUR 400 a month.
The City has published a survey to map the expectations and wishes the city inhabitants have concerning digital services. Three Museum Cards will be raffled among respondents.
